SCHOOL PICNIC.

The local School Committee have completed arrangements in connection with the annual picnic and railway excursion Jo Ashhurst tomorrow. A capital sports programme has been drawn up for the children, and special provision made for catering. Both children and parents are looking forward to a real enjoyable day’s outing, and it only requires fine weather to ensure this. The train will leave the station at 7.50 a.m., and those who have not purchased tickets may do so on the train. The children are requested to bring their own drinking vessels. Hot water and milk will be supplied free to parents. We are asked to warn persons against damaging or removing, shrubs in the Ashhurst Domain.
