PLUNKET SOCIETY
The monthly meeting of the above was lield on Monday. Present : Mesdames Austin-Joimston (president), E. Robinson, Hynes, Pearson, Trueman, and Christie. An apology for absence was received from the secretary, Mrs R. MeMurray. The nurse’s report, owing to the holidays, was not available. A motion was passed regretting the loss to the committee of Mrs f n>ign Huston, who is being LransLerred to headquarters, Wellington. it was decided to hold a dance on .Saturday next, in aid of funds, members of the committee to supply cakes and sandwiches. Donations for same were promised by .Mesdames Austin, Pearson and F. Robinson. It was also decided that a shop day he held at the beach on Saturday, January 2li, the committee-to canvass for donations of fruit, vegetables, cakes, etc. Donations to be left at the Piunket room. The collection box contained 5/1.
