“KICK IN.”

The Town Hall Cabaret to-mor-row evening affords a specially fine programme of pictures. Tbe leading item is a melodrama of supreme merit “Kick In.” a film which boast* an all-star east that includes such popular artists as Betty Compson, Bert Lytell. May McAvoy, Gareth Hughes, and Kathleen Clifford. It is an exciting action drama dealing with crooks and their reformation. It is a storv of the sordid side of life —the underworld, and of the gilded side—society. It is set amid Broadway’s jazz-palaces and down the Bowery. It was produced by George Eitzmauriee of “On with tlie Dance” fame, and is an even greater success on the screen than it was for years on the stage. “Be Careful” is the comedy on Wednesday. Usual Cabaret prices. On Saturday evening an established favourite, in the person of William Farit uni, will appear in his latest screen feature, “Brass Commandements,” a Charles Alden Seltzer story in which tbe star is supported by the popular Wanda Hawley, Claire Adams and Tom Santschi. Prices will remain as usual on Saturday. ROYAL PICTURES. With a vast of players starred or featured in numerous productions, a -Tory that attracted widespread attention when published, and superior direction and photography, “Driven," the Charles BraI tin-Universal- Jewel production, hits attained a place as one of the outstanding successes of the year, and i> showing at the Royal Theatre on Wednesday. “Driven” is an epic of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Lt depicts life as it really is lived in the district where tin* only law is I lie law of force, and where shooting a “revenuer” is considered something praiseworthy. An excellent east of notable players enacts this stirring drama —Elinor Fair. Burr .Mclntosh. Charles E. Mack, Emily Fitzroy, and George Bancroft, one of the lies! villains of the day. A comedy, "Lots of Nerve," is also included in this all motive programme. LYRIC CONCERT COMPANY. On Monday next, 21st inst.. Foxion theatre patrons will he afforded an opportunity of hearing something fresh in the way of entertainment, when the Lyric Concert Company. consisting of first-class artists. will offer a tip-top programme at the Town Hall. The artists contributing include Mr Feeling, a pupil of Aline. Ottley Stayle; Mrs Hosking, a pleasing contralto; Nichol Brothers, string wizards, who do wonders with the steel guitar and ukulele; Rikihana, the wonder violinist, assisted by Miss Natiiseh, champion pianist: Mdlle. Nemo, accomplished toe-dancer; Jas. Dykes, the comedian, who will keep everyone in fits of laughter. The popular prices of admission should assure a packed house.
