FIRE AT TAKAPUNA.

LARGE RESIDENCE DESTROYED. Auckland, October 22. A wooden fifteen-roomed house ill Hurstniere road, Takapuna, owned and occupied by Mr Charles Chileott, was destroyed by fire to-night. The occupants had just left the house for an entertainment, leaving a lire in the kitchen. The insurances on the house are £2,000 and £2OO on the furniture. The offices are unavailable.
