“MY AMERICAN WIFE.” Glorious Gloria Swanson, in dazzling kowns, and how fate drew two together at a great race meeting. That is what patrons at the Town Hall to-morrow evening will witness when “My American Wife” is screened. • The story is a colourful and unusual romance, laid in the Argentine, and presenting the love story of a handsome young aristocrat and polticiau, and a beautiful young American girl from Kentucky, who owns the horse which outraees the valued track champion of the Latin nobleman. Antonio Moreno makes his first appearance as a Paramount —player opposite Miss Swanson in “My American Wife.” Another Charles Murray comedy, “The Fatal Photo,” is chief among the supporting pictures. Usual Cabaret, prices .will prevail, Tom Mix has given us many thrills, and many surprises in the > past, but when he appears on Saturday next in top hat, and monocle in “Do and Dare,” he promises to cap all his previous efforts. ' “NOBODY’S BRIDE.” Last evening at the fashionable mansion of Mr Peter Standish everything was in readiness for the wedding of his niece, Miss Mary Butler, to Air Cyrus W. Hopkins, multi-millionaire, which event was to be the outstanding social event of the current season. When the time, for the wedding arrived, and the in-idal procession was formed, the bride was nowhere to be found. Neither, was there any clue whatsoever as to what might have happened to her. She has .simply disap--1 peared completely. At.-the height of the excitement, it was discovered that the ehoicest and most valuable of the wedding gifts were also missing. Everyone who wants to know and see more of this sensational mystery is urged to be present for the showing of “Nobody’s Bride,” at, the Royal on Wednesday. A comedy, “All Over Twist,” will also be screened.
