CHARGE OF MURDER.

DROMORE TRAGEDY. ACCUSED’S SUDDEN VIOLENCE IN COURT. Ashburton, Last Night. Thomas Jamieson, the afflicted man charged with the murder of the four months’ child of his sister at Dromore, was before the Magistrate for trial in conjunction with the inquest. The evidence corresponded with that indicated in previous reports. The father testified that the accused was taken from a mental hospital, because he appeared to be better and his mother was fond of him and wanted him home. He was usually inoffensive. During the trial, accusecL was quite listless, but suddenly leaned over the dock and punched a constable’s head.
