ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL NOTES.
The local team played a friendly match with Dawber’s last Saturday at Eoxton. The game was one of the best ever witnessed locally and hard and fast play was the order of the day. The score, (i —1, was no indication of the game. Both sides played very good football hut the Dawbers had the better combination and it behoves the local boys, in view of the Wellington South match on Labour Day, at Eoxton, to do more training and get into the same line of combination as was witnessed on Saturday. Dawbers won by (i to 1.
