MUNICIPAL PLUMBER.

MR MO WAT APPOINTED.

At last night’s Council meeting Mr Mowat, of New Plymouth, was appointed Municipal plumber on the casting vote of the Mayor, at a salary of £6 per week. Crs. Coley. Adams, McMurray and Smith voted against the appointment of a plumber. Both Crs. Coley and Smith spoke in favour of carrying on without the appointing of a new’ plumber. There were only two applications for the position.
