ROUND BUSH SCENIC RESERVE.
STOCK CAUSING DAMAGE. We are informed that stock is being' allowed to graze in the Bound Bush scenic reserve at Motuiti. The Act provides a line not exceeding £IOO on conviction for damage done to the scenic features of the reserve. The land adjoining the reserve is the J<’oxton Harbour Board endowment and is leased but a clause in the lease specifically prohibits grazing in the bush. Unfortunately portions of the reserve are not fenced and stock find their way into the bush with destructive results. The matter has been referred to the Lands Department with a request that immediate action be taken to have the matter investigated and this beautiful piece of native bush protected.
