GAMING BILL SHELVED.

Before leaving for England on Tuesday night, the Prime Minister announced to the House that the Gaming Amendment Bill would not come before the House again this session. He knew perfectly well it was impossible to do anything in regard to permits. He would have liked to have seen passed the clause limiting the number of starters iu a race, but he did not think it worth while to keep the House sitting for the purpose of dealing with that part of the Bill.
