FOOTBALL.
Foxton is gradually winning its way to first-class district honours. The seniors have annexed the Nash Cup in the Knock-out Competition, and have run into third place in the championship contests, and several of the team have been selected for representative matches. The Thirds play off for final honours in their grade next Saturday. The Fourths have won the championship in their grade, with an unbeaten record, while the local school team ranks as second in school competitions. If the same enthusiasm is displayed in the game next year, greater honours should come our way.
