CONCERT.

Tho* Masonic* Hall wa taxed to its utmost seating cap.-.cily last night by an appreciative audience, who were entertained by llie m. inkers of the Terrace Em! Pro bytorinn Choir. The entoi taan lent consisted of vocal, instvmncntnl and anthem items by the choir, ami concluded with a humorous playette entitled “House Hunting.” The Rev. F. ArcDnnaid welcomed the visitors. All the performers were accorded well-deserved recalls, and the items by the choir, under the able eonduetorship of Mr G. F. Houston, were of particular merit. 'l’he programme was as follows: Pianoforte solo, “Caprieante,” AtisBuchanan; “Slave Song,” and “The Broken Wing,” Aliss Raeburn:

“Lorraine,” “Alary O’Neill” and “Lots o’ Lickins,*’ Air Blandford; “To a Miniature,” “To Aly First Love,” and “Roses of Picardy," Aliss Alundy; “Mountain Lovers" and “Quiet Down Here,” Air G. F. Houston; the monologues by little Aliss Edna Tily fairly captivated t lie audience, and she was specially rewarded with a box of sweets; “The Jolly Skipper,” and “Passed by Your Window,” Air Alarray. The items by the choir were, “Watchman, What of the Night?” “Sweet and Low,” and “Onward.” The accompaniments were played by Aliss Buchanan. Those taking part in the playette, and the characters sustained, were: AH* Houston, “House Agent”; Air Sorenson and Aliss Gowith, “Bertie” and “Gertie”; Air Alurray “Bolshevik”; Aliss Raleigh, “Flat Hunter”; Aliss A 7. Tily, “House Owner and Takedown.”

At the conclusion of the entertainment the visitors were hospitably entertained at supper by the local lady members of the Foxton PresLy t erian congregation. The hope was expressed that the Palmerston visitors would give a further entertainment at a later date.
