FOXTON SILVER BAND.
Members of the above Band are actively rehearsing and judging b\ the harmonious strains emanating from the practice room under the careful tuition of (lie conductor, Mr Colder, the band is becoming very proficient. The enthusiasm of memhers is very marked. The band has offered their services gratuitously for the forthcoming steeplechase meeting and all Saints’ Fair. As the Band is faced with a liability for instruments and uniforms have yet to be provided, it is hoped that some, public effort, will be ai - ranged to assist, such a deserving institution. Donations from citizens or institutions in the meantime will he thankfully received. Bandsmen are reminded that a sectional practice will be held at 7 p. m . on Tuesday and a general practice at 7.30 p.m.
