HUNT CLUB BALL
A meeting of representatives of the local Racing Club, Sports’ Association, and Hunt Club was held last night, presided over by Mr W. i. Jewell. The object of the meeting was to discuss tiie advisability of holding a hall in connection with the Hunt Club steeplechase meeting. The meeting decided to hold a hall and a committee was set up t.> take the preliminary steps and ti. report to a .further meeting to be held next week. It was hoped that the members of the Hunt Club would take a keen interest in the matter and put in a eager fg i matter and put in a larger attendance at the next meeting. Ai the conclusion of the above meeting, a meeting of the committee of the Sports’ Association was held when the rules as drawn up by the joint secretaries was discussed ami approved and i ecomiuended for adoption. A vote of thanks to the joint secretaries, Messrs Ogilvy and MeMurray, was passed for their w"fk in this connection.
