McGregor, H: Walls, Huff, Carter, Andrews. Currie, Pine. H. McGregor, Rouse, Seville. Any member unable to play, please notify the captain immediately. A SHANNON PROTEST. The Secretary explained that the trouble regarding the referees arose through Mr Randall’s appointment as referee for the game having been cancelled but without his being notified to that effect. He pointed out that as the customary protest fee had not been forwarded, the matter could not be gone on with. In regard to the question of the goal it was decided to write that the referee’s decision in this matter was final, and that line umpires should understand that according to the rules of the game they should not raise the flags after a goal was kicked. and that they were only entitled to a voice when asked for an opinion by a referee who was in doubt.
