FIRE BOARD.
A meeting of the local committee of the Foxton Fire Board was held last night to consider ferred to it by the Board.. were present: Messrs Hornblow (chairman), Bryant, A. N. Smith and the secretary (Mr Rangiheuea). It was reported that Mr Cray had consented to act in conjunction with the Chairman as sinknig fund commissioners. The station had been connected with (lie telephone and it was decided to hold over the question of connecting the telephone to the engineer’s residence until the Board meeting. The purchase of furnishings and equipment was dealt with and settled. It was decided to offer the chemical engine for sale as it would not now be required. Several other matters of a routine nature were dealt with.
