FOXTON FIRE STATION.

The fire station is now complete and is occupied by the Eire Brigade. The furnishing and a feAv extras are yet to be provided and the telephone installed. 1 The building consists of two sleeping cubicles, an office, social room, bath room, kitchen, store-room and engine room. The building is connected Avith the Avater and drainage scheme and is light - ed with gas throughout. The engine arrived yesterday and is noAv being fitted Avith the necessary appliances. We are asked to announce that the building and plant will be open for inspection by the public to-mor-roAv (Wednesday) afternoon. In the evening the Fire Board will entertain the Brigade and visiting brigadesmen at a smoke concert. The annual meeting of the Fire JJ. ard Avill be held to-morrow afternoon.
