ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL CLUB.
OPENING OF CLUB ROOM AND GYMNASIUM.
The local Soccer Club have recently secured ]>remises in Park Street for the purpose of providing a club room and gymnasium for its members. We understand that the premises have uoav been put in order and it is the intention of the Committee to hold an opening function in the club room on Thursday evening next, at 7.30 o’clock. An invitation is extended all members, Avho have the privilege of inviting a lady friend. The aeqhisition of the premises should give a further stimulus to soeeer in Foxton, and the club has made a wise step in this connection 1 . THE MANAWATU REPS. The following Avill represent Manawatu a-. Wellington at the Show grounds at Palmerston North on Friday: Cutler (goalkeeper), Askham (right back), Smith (left hack), Bell (right half), Coombs (captain, centre half). Whitehouse (left half), Griffiths (outside right), Dayis (Tnside right), Jemmy (Foxton), Hearsey (inside left), Wagsfnffe (outside left). Reserves: Dick, Kennedy.
