GAS WORKS MANAGER’S REPORT.
At Monday night’s Council meeting the gas manager reported that the apparatus is working well and is in a fair state of repair. Trouble had been experienced to make gas the last few days owing to the coal being so very wet. As requested I have put in a two inch main between Wli.vte Street and Whittaker St. and fitted a one inch service to the Fire Station, also 1 have run an inch and a-qnarter main up Watson St. to connect lo Mr A. Wright’s service and have put in a service to the woodwork classroom. A service in Liddell Street lias been repaired. The works yard has been cleared and levelled as we require more room. —The report was adopted.
