BOROUGH FINANCE.
TREASURER’S STATEMENT
At last night’s Council meeting, the Borough treasurer reported as follows:—
“During- the month of May the sum of £1251 4s lid was received and placed to the credit of the following accounts : —District Fund a/c £1,205 12s, Cemetery a/c £2O 12s Gd, Water and Drainage a/c £25 Os sd.
‘‘The ledger balances on the 31st day of May were: —Imprest Cash £lO, General £5,052 10s 7d, Hospital and Charitable Aid £25 14s 2d, Reserves £B2 7s, Town Ilall £!) 17s Od, Waterworks £3B 7s Bd, all at debit a total of £5,810 Os 2d. The accounts at credit were: — Cemetery £OB 18s 10d, Contractors Deposits £23 13s, Drainage Connections Loan £2Ol os, Temporary Deposits £4,550, Gas Wjorks £lO2 10s Bd, Library £IOO 10s 7d, Council Chambers Reconstruction £741 0s Iftd, Sanitation £3O 7s o<l, Town Hall Pictures £25 5s 2d, Water and Drainage £74 18s 4tl, Interest £422 4s lftd, a total of £0.437 17s.
