Seifert, H. Wilson, AL F. Anderson, H. Akers, and W. S. Carter. The engineer reported that the survey work necessary to locate the best line for relief cuts from Whirokino bend to the mouth of the Alanawatu river was commenced on Alay 15 and was about half completed, and that arrangements had been made to commence the up-river surveys immediately. He further reported that the settlers on the Oroua river, who had been served with notices to remove willows, etc., had on the whole made an honest attempt to do the necessary work.
