THE FAMOUS DIGGERS. IN THE REVUE “TIP TOP.” FOXTOX MONDAY NEXT. If one were to draw comparisons between the various travelling shows of their kind that have toured New Zealand during Hie past few years, it must he handed to the “Diggers” as being the “ace” of merriment purveyors. The foundation of the new production of the “Diggers", the Revue “Tip Top,” is laughter, laughter, laughter. As gay and ns cute as ever, the irrepressible Joe Yalli “pleads guilty" to a charge of being the priniepnl side splitter. Ably supporting Joe Yalli in (lie comedy line are Frank Moran, Gus Dawson and Tnno Enina. The former will be chiefly remembered in last lour for bis characterisation of “The Lighthouse Keeper.” In the present re-v vue, lie does n clever impersonation of Oscar Asehe. and is extremely fminv in his own character songs. The “Superb Six” Ballet have become a popular adjunct of this talented organisation and are a veritable credit to New Zealand hcnul.v and terpsicliorean art. The two new vocalists of the show are Emilia Dani and Stewart Grant. Miss Dani is better known throughout Australia as “Tin- Original Glory Girl” of the Tivoli Theatre. Sydney.
