SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTIONS.
The annual meeting of householder- for the purpose of electing school committees will he held in the various schools under the jurisdiction of the Wanganui Education Board on Monday evening next at .8 o'clock. The annual reports and balance-sheets will be submitted. For schools with an attendance up to 120, nominations may be made at the meeting, but in other cases they must reach the chairman a week previous to the meeting. In the case of Foxton, the nominations received do not exceed the vacancies to he filled, thus obviating the necessity for an election. Those nominated and therefore elected, are: Messrs Hornblow, Coley, Jno. Ross, C. Pearson, AL Perreau, R. Rangilieuea. A Stevenson, E. Cowley, and F. Rimmer.
It is hoped there will be a good attendance of householders present at Ihe local meeting.
