ANZAC DAY CELEBRATIONS.
-I meeting of returned soldiers called to arrange details for holding local Anzac Day services for this year, was held in the Town Hall yesterday afternoon. Mr W. G. Rutherford, secretary R.S.A., Palmerston North, explained that his Association hoped that Anzac Day would be fittingly observed in Foxton and for the purpose of assisting the returned men in Foxton he was in attendance. After discussion it was decided Hint Anzac Day be observed on the following lines:— 1. That a parade of returned soldiers, Territorials, Cadets, Fire Brigade and Lodges be called. (2). That the combined Bands be asked to assist. (3). That the Ministers’ Association he invited to draw up order of service and to take part. (J). That parade start from the Post Office and march to Town Hal!, where the service will lie held, thence to the Memorial where a short service will he held and the wreathes laid. (5). That a Firing Party bo formed under Sergt.-Major Pearc. ((>). That a further meeting of all returned men be held on Thursday evenng, lOlh inst. at 7.45 when those present will be asked to endorse the above action taken. Mr W. G.
