yWARRANT ON SATURDAY.

Wellington, Last Night. It is expected that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Hon. C. E. Statham, M.P., will issue the warrant for the Oarnaru byelection on Saturday next, that is to say, ten clear days after the declaration of a vacancy as a result of the election having been declared void by the Electoral Court. The poll date, which will be fixed by the Clerk of Writs, must fall within twenty-eight days of the issue of Mr Speaker’s warrant.
