THE CABARET. At the Cabaret to-morrow night the Cosmopolitan Star, Marion Davies, will be seen in a picturisation of Marie Corelli’s famous novel, “The Young Diana,” a dramatic story with a very fine climax in seven thrilling reels. On Thursday night a very fine picture of night life in the great city of New York will be screened. The story is in three distinct episodes, isolated, yet carefully linked up with the main theme. Five stars appear: Estelle Taylor, William Locke, Marc McDermott, Harry Southern, and Earl Metcalfe, The first episode is “Out of the Night,” the second “The Gray White Way,” the finale, “A Tragedy of the East Side.” Admission charges are 9d and 1/6. '
INTERESTING FACTS CONGER NING THE PRODUCTION OF “FOOLISH WIVES.”
The production of “Foolish Wives,” which is appearing at the Royal Theatre to-night, has actually cost 119,373,638 dollars. The production, story, casts, sets, effects, gowns, costumes and uniforms, properties which are correct and authentic to the minutest detail, and the actual “shooting” of scenes took from July 12th, 1920 to June 18th, 1921. In additiou many real French and British officers and cruisers were used and all the uniforms and decorations seen on them are their own, Prices 1/- and 2/pius tax. On Wednesday night “Broad Daylight” will be screened. The story was written by two men of Los Angeles who studied crooks for many years before they took up writing for the screen. It is a very gripping picture and a fast-moving one.
