Messrs Levin and Co. Ltd. have received the following cable from their London agents, dated the Bth March, 1923. — “Quotations New Zealand prime Canterbury lamb, 28/42, 12:,’d; North Island lamb, 28/42, 12i}d; prime Canterbury mutton, 56/64, 9d; North Island m'utton, 50/64, 9d; ewes, 48/64, 7d; New Zealand prime ox beef, 160/220, hinds, 4Jd; fores, 3 Ad. These prices are ex store. The market is depressed. As compared with last week’s quotations, lamb,.mutton, and binds of beef are unchanged; ewes Ad per lb cheaper; fores of beef id per lb. cheaper.”
