ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Christchurch, Yesterday. The body of Ray Thorn, aged 15 years, was found in the Waiuiakai’iri River. He went out alone eeling and a search resulted in the finding of ihe body. Auckland, Yesterday. A body of a youth, believed to be Colin Trott, about 17 years, was found floating in the harbour. Ibe body had apparently been in the water for a considerable time. Trott’s relatives thought be bad gone away for a holiday.
SCHOOL GIRL THROWN UNDER LORRY. ; Eltham, March 7. Ivy Hansen, nine years old, a school girl, whose parents reside at Tekiri,' while riding from school on Monday afternoon, was thrown from a pony through the animal bein-' startled bv the backfire of a passing lorry. The child fell under the wheel and was badly crushed, sustaining fractures of the thigh and pelvis. She was taken to the Hawera Hospital, where her condition i.s critical.
