CONCERT.
There was a keenly appreciative audience at the concert given in the Town Hall on Thursday night, under (lie auspices of All Saints’ Church. The violin items by Miss Ava Symons created quite a furore and encores were demanded. The other contributors to the programme were Miss Upton, Mesdames Davey, Hall, Freeman, Messrs Titchener and J. Aitken. Mr Prouse played the pianoforte accompaniment for his wife arid the accompaniments for the vocal items were played by Mrs Davey and Mr Cimino. played by Mrs Davey and Miss Cimino. Miss Ava Symons was made the recipient of handsome bouquets, as were the other lady vocalists. The bouquets were taken on the stage bv little Miss Joyce Freeman, and were the gifts of Mesdames C. H. Symons, Frankland, A. S. Easton, and Robinson. The Rev. W. Walton made special reference to Mrs Freeman’s departure from Foxton, and paid a trbute to her willing assistance at local eoncei’ts in the past.
