“AT THE MERCY OF MEN.”
Under this heading Alice Bradjfc who has not been seen at the Town Hall for a long time, will appear in a powerful Russian drama, portraying some of the events leading up to the Revolution. We can say that this is a most astonishing picture with Alice Brady at her very best. On Tuesday night the special “One Week of Love,” will' be screened. The Town Hall orchestra will accompany the picture and will play specially selected items for the occasion. “Skipper” Francis of “Australia Will Be There” fame will sing the song he composed, “One Week of Love.” The box plan is open at Heath’s where copies of the song may be obtained. Adinission charges are 1/6 and 2/- children 6d and 1/-, plus tax, no extra charge for booking.
FESTAL FAIR. TOWN HALL, THURSDAY AND FRIDAY, MARCH 22nd and 23rd. Altogether it is almost two weeks yet to the opening day of the great Fair. Already a large amount of goods has been assembled and each day stall holders are receiving further gii'Lj,,,sb"that there ."j§ ! every promise of one of the finest displays of goods ever seen in Foxton iii connection with a bazaar. The organisers are again doing their utmost to make the Fair not only a great marketing centre but a place of many attractions. . Pictures wifi be screened on each evening. The side-shows will have greater prominence this year, whilst all manner of novel competitions will be set forward. The “village pump” will be crammed with novelties for the kiddies, whilst a “fish pond” wifi test their skill and give them many pleasant surprises. The promoters are again making the Fair free to . all —no admission will be charged at the door. Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy themselves.
ROYAL PICTURES. Constance Tulmadge points a good moral in a delightfully humourous vein to all stage struck girls in her latest First National attraction, "Polly of the Follies,” at the Royal Theatre to-night. The star 1 takes a laughable dig at the tendency to throw up everything for the glamour of the footlights and shows by her own experience in this story that there’s something in home after aIL The picture is remarkable for its scenes of a “Follies” Beauty Chorus in rehearsal and for the opening night of the big show- Also a Mermaid comedy, “The Green Horn.” Prices as usual. - Don’t miss Bert Lyteli, in Idle Rich,” on Monday night.
