PERSONAL.
We congratulate Rifleman H. Frankland, of the local Rifle Club, upon his success at the Trentham meeting. Besides winning several amounts in the various shoots, he came within a few points of being included in the chosen fifty. Sergeant Ernest Manley, who has been in the police force for the last fourteen years, and has been stationed at Palmerston North for twelve months, has tendered his resignation to the department and will leave shortly to go into business on his own account at Marton.
