CORRESPONDENCE.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Would you please -inform me whether a child can be threatened with punishment by a school teacher if its parents object to it taking part in tooth-brush drill at school and provided its teeth receive proper attention at home? Thanking you in anticipation. Yours etc, PARENT. [We are not aware of any regulation making tooth-brush drill compulsory, nor do we believe it can be enforced by a threat of punishment. At the same time if the drill is carried out on the lines laid down by the medical inspectors there can be surely no reason for objection to the practice in the interests of the child’s health. —Ed. H.]
