FOXTON ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL CLUB.
A general meeting of the above club was held last Thursday evening/ A large number of members were present and keen interest was taken throughout the meeting. Several new members w6te nominated among whom were some noted Rugby footballers. The rules of the club were submitted and adopted and it was decided to have membership cards printed. It was decided to write Mr Dick, secretary of the Manawatu Football Association, thanking him for his letter re affiliation to that centre.
Players forms were to hand and a number of players signed up. It was decided to open a banking account with the Bank of N.Z. at Foxton.
In view of the fact that the Wellington South team are again to visit Foxton with a team on April 2nd, 1923, practice has already commenced, the leather being out each night in Victoria Park. The official practice night is Wednesday, but it behoves those who wish to hold their own to turn up to practice as often as possible and get down to business for, like all other sports, training and keeping oneself fit is absolutely necessary. Also a word to the junior members. If they want the club to cater for them thev must do their par-t. The Wellington South Club is anxious to bring a junior team along so juniors buck up and get ready for them. The Club colours will be blue jersey and white pants if sanctioned bv the Manawatu Centre.
