RANGER’S REPORT.
Despite the magistrate's warning to persons who allow their stock to nibble the succulent grass on the borough roads,'contrary to the bylaws,' the borough /anger reported at. last night’s Council meeting, that during last month five horses and two cows were impounded. Also that 25 cows had been arrested and released to owners on payment of driving fees which totalled 9/-. Or. Bryant asked why no legal action had been taken in connection with a horse which had been twice impounded; also why no action had been taken re a “run-away” in Main Street. The ranger-inspector to he instructed to take action in the matter. The ptfundkeeper reported that during the month seven head of stock had been impounded by the ranger and driving fees to the amount of 6/- had been collected. The reports were adopted.
