SANITATION.

In the course of a few months most of the Residences in the congested area of the borough will be connected with the drainage sewers and the pan system will be relegated to the past. This, of course, will only apply to that portion of the borough served with water and sewerage mains. The removal system will still obtain in portions of the borough where residences are not connected. In connection with the pan system complaints are periodically made to the Council. At last night’s meeting, complaints in this connection were received from three residents who submitted unsavoury details. It was decided that the sanitary officer attend the next meeting of the Cduncil to explain the alleged neglect in carrying out his duties.
