DOUBLE DROWNING FATALITY.

Christchurch, Last Night. What is thought to be a dual flood fatality occurred to-day near Lake Coleridge. Miss Elizabeth Irwin, aged 24, and Charles Jessep, aged 19, the son of the manager of the Glen Fallheh station, are believed tg have been swept away and drowned in the flooded Wilberforce River. They left the station in a trap for Lake Coleridge. The trap and the dead horse were recovered later, but there was no sign of the former occupants.
