JOHNSONVILLE TRAGEDY.
TUIII COMMITTED FOR TRIAL,

The trial of John Tuhi in connecconneetion with the Johnsonville tragedy was continued to-day. Constable O’Donnell detailed his inquiries and read a statement made by the accused to the effect that Knight had left his home to go to the Lower Hutt to build a cottage. Tuhi later thought Knight might have gone to Tasmania. Finally, when Detective Walsh said Knight might have died, Tuhi replied: “He die; I bury him near the cowshed.” Tuhi indicated the spot and the body was recovered. Tuhi was committed to the Supreme Court for trial on the charge of murdering Herbert Henry Knight at Johnsonville on October 16th.
