PRESBYTERIAN SUNDAY SCHOOL.
The annual concert and prize giving in with the above Sunday school took place in the school-room last night. There was a large attendance of children and parents. The stage was charmingly decorated with roses. The Rev. P. McDonald presided and awarded the prizes and spoke appreciatively of the excellent work of the superintendent and teachers. He was pleased to note that the attendance had increased and regretted his inability to visit t()e school on Sundays.
Mr lan Ross, superintendent, spoke interestingly and hopefully of the school work and-tbe splendid co-operation of thetaching staff. The school was indebted to the Ladies’ Guild for a donation of £5 and to others who had assisted financially 7. which enabled the school lo start the year with a credit balance.
Tin; programm of vocal, elocutionary and instrumental items were contributed solely by the scholars and instrumental items were contributed by Kate Room Madge Patterson, Kathleen Hornblow; recitations hv Don- Ilaydock, Donald Knncdy, Molly Beer, Agnes Kennedy. Ada Room Agnes Barton, Tinky Symons, Ula Cunningham, Douglas Kennedy, Majorie McMurrny; songs by a company of little o'irls, senior girls, Madge Patterson and some humorous dialogues in character. All the items were heartily applauded. Rome very line volumes were
awarded and practically every scholar received a prize. At the conclusion a very nice supper was provided and done ample justice to. Special praise is due to the superintendent and Miss Patterson for the successful carrying out of the arrangements.
