METHODIST SUNDAY SCHOOL.

The anniversary services in connection with the above school held on Sunday were a great success. The Church was beautifully decorated for the occasion with festoons of lvca podium. The children, under the conduetorship of Mr Betty, were in fine form and the singing maintained a high standard throughout. Miss Strand (organist), Mrs Chalk (violinist) and Mr Moorman (flute) accompanied the singing, which was much appreciated by all and both children and conductor were highly commended. The addresses by the different speakers were appropriate. The Rev. Wills, in the morning spoke on the subject of “Life’s Battles,” and Mr A. J. Minifie, in the afternoon spoke on “Lessons from the Flowers.” The Rev. L. Minifie’s subject in the evening was “The Gift of God.” The congregations for the day were very good. The anniversary concert and prize giving will be held this evening at 7.30 o’clock when a splendid programme of children's items will be rendered including dialogues, action songs, etc. Come along and learn how to prepare for a rainy day.
