HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
In connection with the Summer Show held last week, in 1 the Home industries section the Ist prize for collection of sweets was won by Miss L. Woodroofe and the second by Mrs J. Andrews, not in the reverse positions as previously taken from the stewards’ book. The result is that there is no tie for the points prize (Mr J. Golder’s trophy), Miss Woodroofe winning- the trophy with a total of 26 points, Airs Andrews getting 22 points. An "error was also made in class no. 55 (Roses, 3 varieties), which was won by Miss 0. .Nye, Miss Hughes obtaining 2nd prize. Mrs J. Ross was the winner of the points prize for cookery and Miss Skelleu run-ner-up.
