A match for the Nye Ferns was played yesterday afternoon, when the challenging team, skipped by Christie was successful in defeating the holders by a margin of two points on the last head, after a very interesting and evenly contested game. The result of (lie game was in doubt throughout, the scores being even on several occasions, and the board read IS' all on the twentieth head. The holders were one up when the skips went down to play, but some “good shooting” by Christie turned the tabled in favour of the challengers with a margin of (wo. A rink from Feilding Club, composed of Qunyle, Lovett, ITardmnn, Mason (s), visited .Levin on Monday and defeated P. Clement’s team in a match for the Dixon Cup.
