LABOUR DAY TOURNAAfENT,
Despite the boisterous weather yesterday, a tournament day was held on the local green. In the morning :i Handicap Singles contest was held, four games of four heads, which resulted in Roore Rangiheuea and D. Christie tieing ‘for first place with 29 points each, and upon a deciding head being played Roore proved the winner. The following are the aggregate scores: —Roore, 29, Christie 29, Smith 27, Fogden 25, .T. Thomson 23, Huntley 23, Admore 22, Ball 19, Horn blow .19, Healey 19, Pearson lfi, Walton 15.
The afternoon was devoted to a Pairs Tournament, three games of 10 heads, no handicaps. Pearson and Admore (s) were successful in winning this competition with an aggregate of 32. The following are the figures: —Pearson, Admore (s), fi —14 —12, 32. Healey, Smith (s), 9G —12, 27. Christie, Ball (s), 78 —11, 2fi. Thomson, Huntley (s), 7 —l1 —8, 2(5.
