SERIOUS CHARGE WITHDRAWN.

Auckland, October 12. The charge against Alartha Jane O'Shaughnessy, of having caused the death of Elsie Alay Fraider by omitting to perform a legal duty was to-day withdrawal by the Crown, the death of accused’s daughter, Airs Imrie, having altered the v'hole aspect of the case. Air Singer, for accused, asserted that there was no evidence of neglect against either of the accused women, the allegation being that the doctor should have been called in sooner. Air Poynton, S.AL, agreed to the charge .being withdrawn.
