The following handicaps were arranged by tlie Committee on Tuesday last for the Singles Competitions : “A” GRADE. Mrs Perreau gives Mrs Evans 1 bisque, Mrs Wyllie 1, Mrs Pearson 2, Miss B. Speirs 1 bisque, Mrs Bryant 1, Mrs Healey 2, Mrs MeColl 2, Mrs Parkes 2, Mrs Ball 2, Mrs Bari’ 3, Mrs Smith 3. Miss B. Speirs and Mrs Bryant give Mrs Healey 11 bisques, Mrs McColl 11, Mrs Parkes 14, Mrs Ball I£, Mrs Barr 2, Mrs Smith 2. Alesdames Admore and Heasman start, level. A match was played for the Stewart Shields last Friday. The holders from last season were Mrs Perreau and Miss B. Speirs, and the challengers Mrs Pearson and Airs Parkes and resulted in a win for the holders by 26 to 6. Results of Twenty Minute Tournament last Wednesday.—Mrs Pearson 10 points, Airs Owen 8, Airs Smith 7, Miss B. Speirs 5, Mrs Head 5, Airs Banks 5, Airs Ball 4, Mrs Perreau 3, Airs Huntley 2, Airs Downes 2, Mrs Healey 1, Airs AlcC’oll 1. In a match for the Nye A[allets, played yesterday, the challengers. Mesdames Pearson and Huntley, heat the holders, Alesdames Healey and Owen, by two points, after n very keenly contested game, the scores being 26—24. The secretary of the Croquet Club Inis., received an invitation from the St. John’s Croquet Club, Feildiug, for Foxton to be represented by four members at the opening of their courts on Thursday 19 th irist.
