New laid eggs are now retailing in some city shops at Is Id per dozen, which is the cheapest price at which they have been sold for many years. The explanation is that the market is practically over-supplied. In recent years the poultry industry has been greatly developed, with the result that tne production of eggs is now larger than it has ever been before.
