BOILERMAKERS DISMISSED. Received September 14, 8 a.in SYDNEY, Sept. 14. One hundred and fifty boilermakers have been dismissed at Cockatoo Island for refusing to work the riveting machines and work at the island has almost, been brought to a standstill. The men stated that the reason for their refusal to work the machines was that while so many members of the union were unemployed all the work should be done by hand. thus providing work for a greater number of men. —Press Association.
