A SERIOUS CHARGE.
At the Palmerston S.M. Court on Wednesday, a. young man named Leonard Richard McAllister, was charged that he had, at Foxton, on September 2nd, committed a sei'ious offence upon a girl under the age of 1(» years. Detective-Sergeant Quirke asked that accused be remanded to appear at Foxton on September 21st. The Bench fixed hail in one surety of £IOO, and a similar amount in accused’s own reeognaisanee.
