CONTRACT FOR SYDNEY COUNCIL SYDNEY, Sept. 1. The City Council adopted the Lord Mayor’s minute, censuring four high officers and regretting the action ol the town clerk and the deputy town clerk in connection with the paint contract passed in 1913 without the sanction of the council. The foreman painter was recommended tor suspension. The 11. A. iaylor C. 0.. with which Lady Taylor, ex-Lady Mayoress, is connected, is to he debarred from tendering for any further paint supplies for the council. —Press Association.
