DUTCH JOURNALIST'S VIEW

SYDNEY, Aug. 30. Mr Dirk Menlenbelt, a Dutch journalist, writing- to the Herald from Ballarat, eulogising Messrs Chapman and Cramp for their attitude on the Tasman controversy, says that robbing Tasman of his rightly merited honour, sacred to the memories not only of Holland, butt of New Zealand and Australia, would he a deed absolutely beneath the dignity of the world and the famous Anzaos. It grieves him to read that thorp are men prepared to cover their honour by the shame of robbing the memory of the peaceful navigator.—Press Association.
