ROYAL PICTURES
Algernon Charles Swinburne has written many popular poems, none of which have been received with more popular favour by lovers of classics than “Faustine.” “The Black Panther’s Cub,” ' starring Florence Reed is a picture version of this famous poem and heads the bill at the Royal Theatre to-night. In tlm production Miss Reed plays a dual role with such overwhelming realism, that it seems almost impossible for “Faustine” and Mary Maudsley to be the same person. This air of realism in Miss Reed’s acting, the realism suggested by the scenes and the atmosphere of the picture marks an epoch in technique that will be difficult for another succeeding production to surpass. Comedy: “The Bike Bug” and extra “Winners of the West.” Prices 6d and 1/1; children half price. On Monday night don’t forget to see May Allison in “Big Game,” a 'vivid drama of the back woods.
